Oh God, as I sit here thinking about my son and wanting so badly for him to be here, the enemy begins reminding me of so many things I did wrong or should have done. I can hardly bear the guilt and wonder how You can forgive me ... I don't deserve forgiveness. At just the moment I feel I will be crushed under the weight of guilt, You gently speak to me and remind me that "if I confess my sins, You are faithful and just to forgive me". As if that were not enough, You want me to forgive myself, and You remind me that "there's no condemnation for me who is in Christ Jesus". This is too wonderful for me to comprehend! Immediately, I feel a freedom inside and strength to make it through to the next moment.
"Your blood commands my guilt to leave...I am forgiven and free."
